Sanjay Dutt Kaante Sequel: Ever since the sequel of Sanjay Dutt’s 32 year old film ‘Khalnayak’ was announced, there has been a huge buzz about it. The sequel of this 1993 film has been named ‘Khalnayak Returns’. While on one hand people are eagerly waiting for ‘Khalnayak Returns’, on the other hand, the sequel of another 24 year old cult film of Sanju Baba has been discussed. There is news that a sequel to Sanjay Dutt’s hit film ‘Kaante’ is being made and through this, Sanjay Dutt can join hands with famous director Sanjay Gupta after a long time. In a recent conversation, Sanjay Gupta himself confirmed that work on ‘Kaante 2’ is going on.

Now Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt can be seen together through ‘Kaante 2’. The director has told in the conversation that a sequel of ‘Kaante’ is being made. Sanjay Gupta is preparing to work with Sanjay Dutt for the 11th time. The pairing of Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt has been very tremendous and they have worked together on many memorable projects. Sanjay Gupta directed this actor in eight films, namely: Aatish (1994), Jung (2000), Khauff (2000), Kaante (2002), Musafir (2004), Zinda (2006), Dus Kahaniyaan (2007), Alibaug (which was not released). This actor also worked in two films produced by Sanjay Gupta – Plan (2004) and Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007). Overall, both of them have worked together in 10 films so far and if everything goes well, they will soon work together again for the 11th time. In a recent conversation, Sanjay Gupta said that we have prepared the basic idea of the story of ‘Kaante 2’.

“His talent was not utilized properly”
Recently, during an interview, Sanjay Gupta has confirmed that work has started on the second part of ‘Kaante’. He said, “I am watching Sanju doing these films and he is doing a very good job. No one can deny that. But before ‘Dhurandhar’ (2025), I believe that his talent was not utilized properly. The kind of films he did… the filmmakers did not know how to present him. They were not aware of his qualities and did not even take the time to understand him. On the other hand, I need to understand him. It didn’t happen, because I have grown up with him. Even today, when I see him, he can handle the entire film on his own. We are constantly discussing this.
Idea of Kante 2 ready
He further said, “We have also thought of the story idea of ’Kaante 2′ at a very base level. Now I will start writing on it. When ‘Kaante’ was released, it was stuck in some legal troubles, but now those matters have been resolved. Since the legal dispute cases have been resolved, I am putting all my energy into writing its sequel. So, let’s see where it reaches.”
