Kapil Sibal will give Rs 1 crore to CJP
Das told that if need arises in future, we are starting a website. Lawyers from different districts of the country will be able to connect on this website, so that the protesters can easily get legal help. At the same time, Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has announced to donate Rs 1 crore for this website and legal help. He has also appealed to the lawyers all over India to donate money to this fund.
In the press conference with Saurav Das on Monday night, Kapil Sibal said, we will create a website in which the lawyers who want to help will be able to register their name, city and the kind of help they can provide. Earlier, Cockroach Janata Party had expressed concern over the arrest and detention of protesters in some states. CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka had said that if the FIR registered against the protesters is not withdrawn, they will have to protest again.
Home department instructions issued in Bihar
On the other hand, the Home Department of Bihar Government has issued instructions to release the arrested protesters and start the process of withdrawing the FIRs, complaints and notices registered against them. It has been said in the notification that no action will be taken against anyone associated with the movement that took place till 6 pm on July 26, 2026. In Bihar, 355 people including Janashakti Janata Dal chief Tej Pratap Yadav have been sent to jail for protesting against the NEET paper leak.
CJP’s protest lasted for 37 days
CJP ended its 37-day long protest hours after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from the post of Education Minister and the government accepted two main demands. The government had accepted these two demands. First, to give compensation to the families of students who committed suicide and second, to withdraw the cases registered against the protesters. Let us tell you that CJP had announced a Parliament march on July 20 regarding the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. During this, the police tried to stop them but they did not stop, they continued moving towards the Parliament.
After this, the police resorted to lathi charge and fired tear gas shells to control the crowd. Many students were injured in the lathicharge. During this, along with the students, many policemen were also injured. After this, this protest against PayPal leak became more violent and started happening in many other states including Bihar. The governments there detained the protesters and registered a case. CJP had demanded withdrawal of the case registered against the protesters and their release.
