June 14, 2026 by Uma Shankar

After Bengal, now the stir in Maharashtra politics has intensified. There is speculation about some MPs of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) switching sides. Meanwhile, party chief Uddhav Thackeray has called a meeting of all his MPs on Sunday (14th Sunday). According to sources, this meeting will be held at 12 noon at Matoshree, the residence of the Thackeray family in Bandra East, Mumbai.

In fact, amid claims by Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena leaders that some Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs are preparing to switch sides, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has called all the party MPs to Mumbai for a meeting at Matoshree on Sunday. This meeting is taking place amid speculations about Shinde Sena’s efforts to create a split in the parliamentary wing of Shiv Sena (UBT).

Union Minister Pratap Jadhav had indicated

Recently, Union Minister Pratap Jadhav (Shiv Sena) had talked about Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs changing sides. It is being named Operation Tiger. Jadhav had said that Operation Tiger is on the verge of completion. Whenever Shinde ji wants, it will be completed immediately. After which Uddhav Thackeray is once again trying to unite his supporters. That is why Uddhav has called a meeting in Mumbai on Sunday. Which will be held at Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree’ at 12 noon on Sunday. All MPs of the party will attend the meeting.

Shinde dismissed the speculations

Although an MP said that this is a regular meeting, but it has been organized at a time when discussions in the name of ‘Operation Tiger’ are intense in Maharashtra politics. However, Shinde had rejected these speculations in Delhi this week. He said that the elections are over and now there is no need for numbers game.

After Bengal, breaking news in Maharashtra

With seven MPs, Shiv Sena is the third largest ally of BJP at the Centre. At the same time, after the claim of the rebel group of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress to support BJP in West Bengal, the political mathematics of the Center may also change. The rebel camp claims that there are 20 TMC MPs with them. In such a situation, the news of possible breakup of Shiv Sena UBT MPs has become more important.

Sanjay Raut told routine meeting

However, Shiv Sena UBT MP Sanjay Raut clarified that Sunday’s meeting has nothing to do with these speculations. According to the MP, this is a routine meeting and the Parliament session, organizational issues and upcoming election strategy will be discussed in it. The party is currently present in the Lok Sabha with nine MPs. The Uddhav Thackeray group is denying the possibility of any break. At present, all eyes are on Matoshree’s meeting.
