After Ayodhya, donations stolen in Badrinath too! Temple committee swung into action, ordered investigation, summoned employees

Amidst the allegations of theft of donations in Ayodhya Ram temple, there have been allegations of irregularities in the offerings in another prestigious temple of the country. Allegations of irregularities in offerings and charity are also being made in Badrinath Dham. There is a lot of heat being seen regarding this allegation on social media also. On receiving such information, Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) took immediate action. Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said that these allegations have been taken very seriously.

He said that an investigation committee has been formed for a fair and transparent investigation of the entire matter. Clarification has been sought from the employees related to the allegations. If any mistake is found then no one will be spared, strict action will be taken.

‘The employee is not my personal secretary’

Hemant Dwivedi also refuted the claim being made on social media, in which an employee is being described as his ‘personal secretary’. He clarified that the person concerned is not his personal secretary, but a regular government employee of BKTC. He said that if the allegations are found true in the investigation, no culprit will be spared and strict action will be taken against him as per rules.

Chief Executive Officer of the committee, Sohan Singh Rangad said that a complaint was received regarding this matter which was going viral since July 2. CCTV footage of Badrinath temple was checked. The footage is not completely clear, but investigation into the matter has been started. For this, an internal investigation team is being formed which will give a report on the basis of all the evidence, CCTV and statements.

Rangad said that if any kind of irregularity or financial irregularities are revealed in the investigation, then strict legal and departmental action will be taken against the culprits under the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Act, 1939 and Employee Conduct Rules. He appealed to the people to avoid spreading any kind of unconfirmed or misleading allegations until the investigation is completed.
