
US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said that Oman has assured Washington that it has no intention of working with Iran to impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz and that it wants to maintain good relations between the two countries. Speaking to reporters during a briefing at the White House, Besant said she had spoken to Oman’s ambassador over phone and he made it clear that the proposal to impose toll on the Strait of Hormuz is not acceptable at all. He told that Oman has assured that it does not want to take any such step which could pose any threat to the security of the people and the economy of the country.
