The Taliban government of Afghanistan has claimed that its Air Force has entered Pakistan and carried out air strikes on ISIS (Islamic State) positions. This attack took place in response to the airstrike carried out by Pakistan two days ago. According to the Taliban’s Defense Ministry, this action was taken in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces of Pakistan. Taliban says that terrorist attacks on common people in Afghanistan were being planned from these bases.
According to the Taliban government, this attack was carried out with complete precision. Many ISIS fighters were killed in this and their bases were heavily damaged. Taliban claims that no civilian was killed in this action. Kabul has warned that in future also any target that threatens the security of Afghanistan will be attacked.
Pakistan also confirmed the attack
Pakistan also said that its air defense shot down four Afghan drones sent to Balochistan in the air. Pakistan Army said that the security forces detected all the drones in time and destroyed them with modern technology. Also said that such irresponsible action of Taliban will further increase the troubles of the people of Afghanistan.
28 Afghans were killed 3 days ago
Pakistan had carried out air strikes at several places near the Afghanistan border on Sunday. According to the United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMA), at least 28 civilians were killed and 49 people were injured in these attacks. However, Afghanistan claims that Pakistan’s attacks took place on residential areas. According to Kabul, 36 people died and more than 160 were injured in these attacks.
Taliban described Pakistan’s action as a cowardly attack. Pakistan says that it targeted only terrorists and not civilians. This tension between the two countries has increased at a time when in October last year, after several weeks of violence, both had agreed to a ceasefire.
408 Afghans were killed in March
Earlier on March 16, Pakistan had also carried out an air attack on Omid Drug Rehabilitation Center in East Kabul. This was a center with 2,000 beds. According to the Health Ministry of Afghanistan, 408 people died and 265 were injured in the attack. Most of them were patients undergoing treatment. Pakistan has long been alleging that Afghanistan provides shelter to terrorists who carry out attacks on its border. However, the Taliban government has been continuously rejecting these allegations.
