Do these special measures in Adhikamaas

Tarpan and Pind Daan: On Amavasya or Saturday of Adhikamas, perform Tarpan and Pind Daan for the ancestors. On these days, offer tarpan by mixing black sesame seeds and kusha in water. By doing this the ancestors are pleased and happiness comes in life.

Deepak near Peepal: According to Hindu religious beliefs, ancestors reside in the Peepal tree. In such a situation, during Adhikamaas, remember your ancestors by lighting an oil lamp under the Peepal tree. This provides relief from Pitra Dosh. This solution is effective for success in career and business.

Lesson of Geeta: Since Lord Vishnu has given his name and blessings to this month, recite or listen to Geeta during this time. By doing this the souls of the ancestors get peace. Reciting Geeta also brings positive changes in life.

Donation of seasonal fruits: During Adhikamas, donate Sattu, water, copper utensils, water pitcher (Kalash) and seasonal fruits to the needy people. By donating fruits and food, the souls of the ancestors are satisfied and the ancestors become happy and give blessings.

Food for animals and birds: During Adhikamaas, feed food to cows, dogs and crows. According to beliefs, these animals and birds convey our messages to our ancestors. By giving them food and water, problems in life can end.
