
Strict action will be taken against spa centres, hotels and motels violating MCD rules in Delhi. Delhi Mayor Parvesh Wahi held a meeting with the public health officials of Delhi Municipal Corporation and discussed the issues related to the public health department. The Mayor said that he instructed the officers to act strictly to ensure that incidents like Lucknow and Malviya Nagar do not happen again.
Mayor Parvesh Wahi directed all the Deputy Health Officers to hold meetings every week in their areas and ordered to increase surveillance and take action in all the areas. Deputy Health Officers of all 12 areas including Deputy Mayor Dr. Monica Pant, Corporation Health Officer Dr. Ashok Rawat and Dr. Lallan Ram Verma were present in the meeting.

Disobeying rules will not be tolerated: Mayor
The Mayor said that disobedience to the rules of Delhi Municipal Corporation by spa centers will not be tolerated at all. He instructed to take strict action against those who violate the rules. The Mayor also requested Delhi Police to keep vigil and take strict action.
The Mayor ordered to strictly monitor the hotels and motels operating under the jurisdiction of Delhi Municipal Corporation and take action against those who violate the rules of the corporation. The Mayor ordered bulk waste producers like restaurants, hotels and banquet halls etc. to take joint action with sanitary inspectors to maintain cleanliness in and around their premises.

Mayor Parvesh Wahi ordered to issue the policy as soon as possible in the context of E-Cart. In this context, all the officers gave their views and suggestions.
The Mayor said that under the guidance of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Delhi Municipal Corporation is committed to providing better services and facilities to the citizens. The Mayor said that Delhi Municipal Corporation is also working towards ease of doing business.
