Just days after the US Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a charge sheet against two Indian gangsters including Lawrence Bishnoi, action against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang abroad has intensified. A gangster of Bishnoi gang has been arrested in France, whose name is said to be Garinder Dev.

Canada’s Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said on Friday that Garinder Dev has been arrested in France. Now he will be brought to Canada under the extradition process. Another accused, Jashandeep Singh, related to the firing case at Kapil Sharma’s cafe, has been ordered to be deported from Canada. . According to the investigating agencies, Garinder Dev is considered an important member of the international criminal network associated with Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to the US DOJ’s charge sheet, 40-year-old Garinder Dev, also known as ‘Doc’, ‘Rocket’ and ‘Ritz Carlton’, helped provide financial benefits to the criminal network linked to Lawrence Bishnoi. It is alleged that he helped in a conspiracy to buy large quantities of cocaine and heroin and send it from Southern California to the eastern part of America. In June 2025, an attempt was made to send a consignment of about 99.2 kg of cocaine and 1 kg of heroin, which was seized on the way by American agencies.

Order to deport Jashandeep Singh

In a separate case, the Immigration and Refugee Tribunal of Canada has ordered the deportation of Jashandeep Singh, an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, from the country. Jashandeep Singh is accused of helping hide the weapon used in the firing outside comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey. However, no criminal charges have been formally framed against him in this case.

Action against gangs in foreign countries intensified

Jashandeep Singh came to Canada on a student visa in the year 2022 and has denied all the allegations against him. Earlier, Arshdeep Singh, associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has also been deported from Canada. A few days after the US Justice Department filed chargesheet against two Indian gangsters including Lawrence Bishnoi, action against these gangs in foreign countries has intensified.
