Ever since this song has been released, this song is being trolled a lot online. Now the singer of the original song, Abhijeet Bhattacharya has also taken Varun Dhawan to task.
This song is a remake of the hit song Chunari-Chunari from the 1999 superhit film Biwi No. 1. Abhijeet has given voice to Salman Khan in the original song. Actress Sushmita Sen was seen in this song with Salman. This song is liked a lot even today. Abhijeet fiercely opposed the makers for remaking the song.
‘Varun does second hand films’
Abhijeet reacted to this while talking to ANI. Talking about the song, Abhijeet said – This song was the biggest song of Salman’s life. It has been trending ever since it came out. The biggest hit of Salman Khan’s life is Chunari-Chunari. At that time he was a rising star, not a superstar. Regarding the remake of the song, the singer said- ‘The actor (Varun Dhawan) has done only second hand films till date, especially when his father (David Dhawan) has made the original film. Abhijeet said that this song seems less like a romantic track and more like a bhajan. No matter how hard Varun tries, he will not be able to become Salman.

Actually, Biwi No. 1 producer Vashu Bhagnani had accused David of using the song in his film without his permission. There was a lot of controversy on this issue, which was later resolved.
