Aam Aadmi Party held a silent symbolic demonstration outside LNJP Hospital accusing the Rekha Gupta government of Delhi of drug scam worth Rs 650 crore. In the demonstration led by AAP’s Delhi State President Saurabh Bhardwaj, the workers formed a long human chain and everyone was holding placards with photos of CM Rekha Gupta and former DGHS Dr. Vatsala Aggarwal. Through this, AAP asked BJP, what is this relationship called?
During the demonstration, Saurabh Bhardwaj said that BJP is saying that Dr. Vatsala Aggarwal has committed a scam of Rs 650 crore in DGHS. But who appointed Dr. Vatsala Aggarwal as DGHS? It was the Rekha Gupta government that appointed him, ignoring all the rules and seniors. He was appointed despite a Vigilance investigation going on against him.
Rekha Gupta’s government changed the rules-AAP
Saurabh Bhardwaj Said that Rekha Gupta’s government changed the rules and said that no hospital will make direct purchases, rather all purchases will be made through Vatsala Aggarwal’s CPA. This decision was taken by the Rekha Gupta government itself. Therefore, now Rekha Gupta government should answer that what is their relationship with Vatsala Aggarwal that so much kindness was shown to them?
Saurabh Bhardwaj further said that this big health scam of Rs 650 crore has taken place in Delhi. But ACB deliberately did not arrest its mastermind for a month and he was easily allowed to escape to Germany. We kept saying this continuously and also kept demanding the arrest of Rajeev Rangeela by holding press conferences, but despite this they did not arrest him.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that our demand is that Rajiv Rangeela should be arrested from Germany so that he can tell which politicians have been given a share in the embezzlement of Rs 650 crore. Harsh Malhotra says the investigation has not been completed, but if the investigation was not completed, then why did they let the main accused escape to Germany? Now the investigation will never be completed. Harsh Malhotra will keep saying that the investigation is going on, because the person who was supposed to investigate was deported to Germany by the ACB of Harsh Malhotra’s government.
Why was contractor Rajeev Rangeela not caught?-AAP
On the other hand, Burari MLA Sanjeev Jha said that ACB itself has admitted that a scam of Rs 650 crore has taken place. Medicines worth Rs 400 crore should have been purchased for Rs 100 crore, which means Rs 300 crore was looted. A machine worth Rs 2.5 lakh was purchased for Rs 17 lakh. What is the market rate and at what rate they bought, all this is in front. But why was contractor Rajiv Rangeela not caught even after the FIR? Was he also banished like Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi?
At the same time, Kondli MLA Kuldeep Kumar said that in the Rs 650 crore health scam of the BJP government, a packet of ORS worth Rs 2.5 was bought for Rs 15 and the bedsheet which AIIMS bought for Rs 150, was bought by the Delhi government for Rs 450. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta should explain why she gave the command of DGHS to such a junior officer, Dr. Vatsala Agarwal, and on whose recommendation did this happen?
Former Model Town MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi said that she was junior to 15 doctors, yet she was made DGHS. The power to purchase hospitals was snatched away and given to DGHS and all the rules and regulations were changed to create an environment for scams. When the scam came to light, action was taken against small people and mastermind Rajeev Rangeela was banished from the country so that the secrets of big politicians, the Chief Minister and the Health Minister were not exposed. Just as in Ayodhya the looting case was whitewashed by taking action against small people, the same is being done here too.
