The story of the web series starts with the return of Xerxes Desai to the Tata company. He was sent on a special project to another company for five years. Since he is very close to Tata, Tata is aware of his vision and hard work – hence he becomes successful here but after this he has to struggle a lot on the front of firm, fund and partnership and friendship.

The research of Mr. Desai’s team is amazing. In the last years of the eighties, when he laid the foundation of the Titan watch series, completely indigenous watches were not made in the country. There was black marketing of Swiss watches in the market. He tells his investors – Today in India, GMT makes 10 lakh watches every year, while Alwyn makes 8 lakh watches. That means a total of 18 lakh watches are made in a year. Whereas about 50 lakh watches are sold every year.
That was the era of black marketing of foreign watches.
That means a gap of Rs 32 lakh. Smugglers are taking advantage of this gap. These smuggled watches are sold more because they keep changing with time. The time has come that we want to move beyond mechanical watches to quartz watches. Which goes according to time. Today no one has time to repeatedly insert the key into a mechanical device. Quartz vases require less components and also require less labor and cost. That is, the series also tells how much black marketing of foreign watches took place in India before the manufacture of indigenous watches. After the launch of Titan, it was also curbed.
