According to the information, 94 year old Kondrugunta Mahalaxmamma has applied to get Indian citizenship. She is a resident of Chintagumpala village in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh and had applied to the State Secretariat to get her civil rights. After the death of her husband Nagabhushanam, she moved to America with her son. Went to Buchaiya. Kondrugunta Mahalakshmamma, who left the village, acquired American citizenship on July 27, 2000.
The woman returned to India in 2018
She lived in America for some time. In 2018, she returned to her hometown with her family. Now his son Kondrugunta K. Pichaiah is the director of NRI Medical College in Guntur. Mahalaxmamma, who has reached the last phase of her life, has been living in Chintagumpala village since then. He has applied online to get back Indian citizenship. The Collector examined the registered application to grant him citizenship again as per Indian law.

She gave an undertaking to the District Collector and Magistrate that she would respect the Constitution of India and follow the law. He appealed to the Collector that he should be given the right to live in the country as per the law, because he is in old age. She said that she wants to die in her country and her village and her last rites should be performed here. Bapatla District Collector Dr. Vinod Kumar V said that the next report of the investigation will be sent to the State Secretariat. From there, the report is going to the Government of India and you will soon get citizenship from the government.
