8647 has been seen written in large size on the grass in the famous National Mall of America’s capital Washington DC. This matter has come to light at a time when a UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) match is going to be held here on President Donald Trump’s birthday on June 14 and a large number of people are expected to gather. 8647 is generally considered an anti-Trump message in America.
In the restaurant industry, the word 86 is often used to refer to an order or turning away a customer, while 47 is an indication of Trump being the 47th President of the United States. For this reason this number is linked to opposition to Trump. However, the Trump administration is also viewing it as a threat against the President. This number was seen on the grass of the National Mall in the live webcam installed above the Washington Monument. A large part of the grass had become dry or yellow, due to which the shape of 8647 was seen.
When were the marks made on the grass?
This part of the National Mall is located in the eastern area of the World War-2 Memorial. It is not yet clear when this mark was made. This number was not visible in the photographs taken of the National Mall on June 5. It is believed that these marks have been made during the last few days. This number was not clearly visible when viewed from the ground on Thursday afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, several vehicles of emergency services arrived here at around 1 pm and took control of the area for some time. At the same time, the Golden Knights parachute team of the US Army had also landed in the National Mall. White House spokesman Davis Ingle said that those who support ideas like political violence or assassination of any leader should be strongly condemned.
Police collected grass samples
The FBI and Secret Service have said that the Park Police is currently responsible for the investigation. As soon as a suspect is identified, the Secret Service will also join the investigation. According to the park police, the reason why the color of the grass changed is not yet known. Grass samples have been collected for testing. The management of the National Mall is the responsibility of the US Home Department. The department said that any threat against the President will be taken seriously.
This is not the first time that 8647 has come into discussion. In April, former FBI Director James Comey was also accused of threatening the President. He had posted a picture of number 8647 made from sea shells on Instagram. After this the US Justice Department took action against him.
