Those who sacrificed their lives for the country include Subedar Major Pawan Kumar (Headquarters 10 Infantry Brigade), Rifleman Sunil Kumar (4th Battalion, Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, awarded Vir Chakra), Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar (5 Field Regiment), Agniveer Murali Naik (851 Light Regiment), Havildar Sunil Kumar Singh (237 Field Workshop) and Sergeant Surendra Kumar (39 Wing, Indian Air Force).
Agniveer Murali Naik was martyred in May, Havildar Sunil on 6 June, Sergeant Surendra Kumar on 10 May, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar on 7 May and Subedar Major Pawan Kumar on 10 May. In Operation Sindoor launched by India after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Air Force had destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. Soldiers of all three armies were involved in this. More than 100 terrorists were killed due to India’s precise and fierce attack.
