
Nagpur Cobra Snake Rescue: There was a huge sensation in Nerla village near Ramtek in Nagpur district when a total of 40 cobra snakes were seen crawling one after the other in the house of village resident Raju Dhomane. The news of the presence of so many poisonous snakes under one roof spread like wildfire throughout the village, creating an atmosphere of panic among the local people.
Seeing a bunch of cobra babies in the house, Raju Dhomane’s family without wasting any time immediately informed the local snake friends and the Forest Department. As soon as the information was received, snake lover Ratan Kumbhare, head of ‘Wild Challenger’ organization of Chacher area, along with his fellow friends immediately reached Raju Dhomane’s house.
It was a very risky task to catch 40 cobra babies hidden in different corners of the house. But Ratan Kumbhare and his team, showing their efficiency, safely rescued all the 40 children one by one with utmost care without harming any snake.
Panchnama in the presence of Forest Department, snakes released in natural habitat
After the successful rescue operation, the rules of wildlife conservation were completely followed. Snake lover Ratan Kumbhare immediately gave official information about this to the officials of Ramtek Forest Department. The Panchnama of this entire rescue was prepared in the presence of ACF Govind Kumar Luche and Range Officer Rahul Shinde in the Forest Department office.

After the paperwork was completed, all 40 cobra babies were released safely and happily into their natural habitat (forest) away from human population. After the success of this extremely dangerous and thoughtful operation, Raju Dhomane’s family and the forest department have expressed gratitude to snake lover Ratan Kumbhare and his team, who averted a major danger by risking their lives.
