
Mohanlal Elephant Tusk News: Malayalam cinema’s veteran actor Mohanlal has been facing a case for a long time for illegally possessing four elephant tusks. Now there is news that Mohanlal has informed the Kerala Forest Department that he has 10 elephant tusks and 13 idols made from it, which weigh about 46 kg.
Mohanlal Among the idols made of elephant teeth which have been given information by the agency, are the idols of Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and Tirupati Balaji. This entire matter is related to the Income Tax Department raid on his house in 2011. At that time, elephant tusks and some artefacts made from them were found at his house, which were confiscated and a case was also registered against him for keeping elephant tusks and artefacts made from them without permission.
Earlier there were only four elephant tusks
Monlal had described those items as part of his heritage and said that he was not aware that it was illegal to possess these things. An ownership certificate was issued in his name in the year 2016, but the ownership certificate was canceled in 2025. Now Mohanlal has revealed that he has 10 elephant tusks and 13 statues made of ivory. Whereas earlier information about only four elephant tusks was revealed.
Mohanlal gave information under amnesty scheme
Mohanlal claims that most of the elephant tusks he has were inherited or gifted to him. According to PTI, officials of the Malayattoor Divisional Forest Office say that they have given this information under the amnesty scheme of the department. Through this, people can declare the wildlife items in their possession as per their wish.

It was also told that to avoid legal action, people can declare unregistered items related to wild animals in their possession under this scheme. Officials say that the elephant tusks and idols made from Mohanlal will be DNA tested for authenticity.
