Suspense continues to persist in Maharashtra politics regarding the alleged Operation Tiger. There is speculation that some MPs of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena are in touch with the Shinde faction. Meanwhile, amid discussions of a possible split, Uddhav Thackeray called a meeting of his nine Lok Sabha MPs in Matoshree on Sunday.

Five MPs attended the meeting online
After the meeting, Sanjay Raut claimed that five MPs had joined the meeting through online medium. He said that discussions were held through virtual medium with the MPs who could not come due to personal reasons.
Sanjay Raut said that all the 9 MPs of the party attended the MPs meeting held in Matoshree today. Of these, 4 MPs were physically present in Matoshree, while 5 MPs joined the meeting through online medium.
Sanjay Raut told that the son of Osmanabad MP Om Raje Nimbalkar is unwell and is admitted in a hospital in Pune, hence Nimbalkar joined online. Shirdi MP Bhausaheb Wakchore’s wife is ill and admitted in the hospital, so he also joined online.
Mystery deepens due to Sanjay Raut’s claim
He said that Hingoli MP Nagesh Patil Ashtikar joined online because he was busy in his son’s assembly election campaign. Due to the marriage ceremony of his daughter at the house of Yavatmal-Washim MP Sanjay Deshmukh, he joined the online meeting. Sanjay Jadhav also attended the meeting through online medium.
Raut said that all 9 MPs of the party were present in the meeting. 4 MPs were present in Matoshree, while 5 MPs participated online.
Meanwhile, MP Anil Desai said that Parbhani MP Sanjay Jadhav could not physically attend the meeting, but he had a phone conversation with him and he would meet Uddhav Thackeray in Matoshree after two days. Regarding Shirdi MP Bhausaheb Wakchore, he said that he could not come due to his wife’s ill health, but he also contacted through phone.
Know what the MPs claimed
Anil Desai claimed that Operation Tiger will never succeed and all nine MPs are standing firmly with Uddhav Thackeray. Sanjay Dina Patil, MP from Mumbai North-East, also said that he is with Uddhav Thackeray and there is no truth in the discussions.
Former Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut also claimed that all the MPs are with Uddhav Thackeray and Operation Tiger will not be successful.
On the other hand, Shinde faction leader and minister Sanjay Shirsat said that his party is not running any Operation Tiger. According to him, many people themselves are in touch and if someone has taken a decision then he will be included in the party at the appropriate time. Only Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will take the final decision.
Shinde group made this claim
He said that basically we are not doing any ‘Operation Tiger’ and we do not need it. But this is being said because it is certain that some people from Ubhatha (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group) are going to break away. There is no picture before us of us knowingly being in contact or contacting them and we are not doing any such ‘Operation Tiger’.
He said that despite this, we will not refuse those who have to come to us. The public representatives living at that place also understand this, hence if they are taking any decision of their own then we have no responsibility for it. If ‘Operation Tiger’ has to be done then Eknath Shinde Saheb can take that decision any time, but right now we do not have such a mentality.
When the journalist asked whether some people are in touch who have to come to him, Sanjay Shirsat replied that yes, many people are in touch and many people also talk. But what decision to take next, only Eknath Shinde Saheb will decide. Attending the Ubatha conference and not achieving anything from it, this is the reason for the frustration among those MPs. That’s why I don’t think that all of them will be together in the coming months.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also took a dig at this entire incident. When he was asked about Matoshree’s meeting, he said that first get information about who came to the meeting and who did not, then we will discuss.
At present, Shiv Sena (UBT) is claiming that all its nine MPs are united, but it is also true that some MPs have been continuously staying away physically from the meetings. In such a situation, the speculations regarding Operation Tiger do not seem to be stopping at the moment.
