
The Central Government has approved the appointment of 33 senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) to the posts of DG (Director General) and equivalent level of DG in the Centre. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the names of these officers. These officers are from different states and cadres and have been working in the police service for a long time.
The officers who got the approval include Sudhanshu Sarangi of Odisha cadre, Rajeev Krishna of Uttar Pradesh cadre, Anand Mohan of AGMUT cadre, David Lalrinsanga, Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Rajesh Kumar, Satish Sriramaji Khandare and Shiv Darshan Singh.
Apart from this, AYV Krishna and Munna Prasad Gupta of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Jag Mohan of Bihar cadre, Pankaj Kumar Darad, R. Malarvizhi and Sushil Man Singh Khopde, Satinder Pal Singh and Venugopal N. of Himachal Pradesh cadre. has also been approved.
Sandeep Khirwar of Haryana cadre, Sanjay A of Jharkhand cadre. Lathkar, Naval Bajaj of Maharashtra cadre, Meenakshi Sharma and Yogesh Deshmukh of Madhya Pradesh cadre, Padmakar S of Odisha cadre. Ranipase, Amit Prasad and Kapil Dev of Punjab cadre are also included in the list.
MN Dinesh and Biju George Joseph of Rajasthan cadre, Vineet Vinayak of Sikkim cadre, Punit Rastogi of Tripura cadre, Deepam Seth of Uttarakhand cadre and Amrendra Kumar Sengar, Anupam Kulshrestha, Ashok Kumar Singh and Vijay Bhatia of Uttar Pradesh cadre have also been selected for senior posts at the Centre. All these officers are IPS officers of 1990 to 1995 batch. After this decision of the Central Government, the way has been cleared for these officers to get important responsibilities at the Centre.
