30 days of Netflix for free? Offer returned again after 6 years, this is the way to claim

July 10, 2026 by Uma Shankar

It seems that Netflix has once again started the free trial offer after almost 6 years. Many users around the world have reported that they are getting free subscription to the streaming service by signing up for a new account. The company has confirmed this, this step has been taken almost six years after Netflix stopped giving free trial, with the free trial new users will be able to enjoy movies and shows.

Take advantage of Netflix Free Trial like this

netflix has confirmed that eligible new members in select countries are being given a free trial of the streaming service. According to the company’s help center, if the user’s account, device and location are eligible, the free trial option will automatically appear during sign-up. If they don’t see this offer, it means their account is not eligible for it yet. Although Netflix did not make any specific announcement about its return in India, Gadgets 360 reports that while creating a new Netflix account with a new email address, an offer of 30 days trial for Rs 0 appeared.

Some offer 30 days, some 15 days.

Reports suggest that the trial period may not be the same for all accounts. While some users are getting a 30-day free trial, some other users have reported that they have received a 15-day trial offer. This suggests that the company may be adopting an A/B testing approach, in which different users receive different promotional offers.

Netflix’s trial offer was stopped in 2020

The special thing is that after giving a 30-day free trial for many years, Netflix had closed it worldwide around 2020. Through this move, the company is probably trying to find out whether reintroducing the free trial inspires more people to subscribe to the streaming service?
