Nawada MLA Humayun Kabir has come into the center of discussion in the changed state politics after the assembly elections. This time he has created a sensation by directly inviting Mamata Banerjee to contest the assembly by-elections. He claims that if the former Chief Minister himself wishes, he is ready to take the responsibility of sending him to the assembly from Rejinagar assembly constituency. Humayun Kabir said that he will help Mamata win.
He also made the sensational claim that TMC 20 MPs of TMC are ready to rebel against Abhishek Banerjee and what happened in West Bengal Assembly, the same will be seen in TMC parliamentary party very soon. Mamata should be prepared.
Humayun Kabir said that in the current situation it was necessary for Mamata Banerjee to be in the assembly. According to him, there is still no chance to deny the importance of Mamata in the politics of the state. That is why he feels that he should be present in the Assembly as one of the important faces of opposition politics.
Humayun Kabir’s invitation to Mamta
Humayun said that it may be difficult for Mamata Banerjee to win a seat like Nandigram. However, the political equation of Rejinagar is completely different. Humayun claims that his influence and public support in that assembly constituency is such that he has the power to make anyone win there. Keeping this in mind, he said that if Mamata Banerjee requests him personally, he can arrange for her return to the Assembly.
Humayun also raised the issue of his political power. He claims that he had defeated Trinamool Congress by a huge margin in Rejinagar. He also defeated BJP by a huge margin. Therefore, he is confident that in future he will win from that seat with the support of the people.
However, Humayun Kabir did not stop only at proposing to return to the assembly. He also commented on the recent political situation of Trinamool Congress and party leadership. He claims that he has given some political warnings many times in the past, but they were not given importance and now Trinamool is having to suffer the consequences of this.
Rebellion in TMC against Abhishek
He claims that Mamata Banerjee wanted to make Abhishek Banerjee the Chief Minister of West Bengal. In his words, Mamata’s behavior was like that of Dhritarashtra. That is why the party had moved away from political reality.
After the announcement of assembly election results, there has been a big change in the politics of the state. With the defeat of Trinamool Congress, speculations about a split within the party have also increased rapidly. Many MLAs have openly raised questions on the current leadership of the party. In such a situation, Humayun Kabir’s statement has given a new turn to the political debate.
However, despite criticism, Humayun is hesitant in denying the political importance of Mamata Banerjee. According to him, Mamta is not just a party leader, but she is also a well-known political personality at the national level. Therefore, he believes that a leader like him staying out of the assembly is not good for the politics of the state.
