20 contingents of CRPF soldiers were called from Delhi and Bengal stuck in protests

The scope of the ongoing movement in the capital Delhi regarding the NEET paper leak issue and the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has become very big. Currently the monsoon session of Parliament is also going on in Delhi. In such a situation, maintaining the security of the city is a big challenge. Now 20 contingents of CRPF jawans have been called from West Bengal for Delhi, which is embroiled in protests taking place at many places.

Officials associated with the matter said on Wednesday that in view of the protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and demonstrations by different political parties, the Center has ordered to deploy 20 more companies of CRPF in Delhi to strengthen the security arrangements.

Force will come by plane

These 20 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) contingents are being brought from West Bengal via airplane after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) ordered their immediate deployment in the national capital Delhi last Tuesday night.

Official sources associated with the security apparatus told news agency PTI that in view of the protests by CJP, demonstrations by different political parties and the ongoing session of Parliament, a total of 20 companies of CRPF are being brought from Kolkata to Delhi to strengthen law and order. He said that this immediate deployment has become necessary due to several incidents of violent clashes that took place at many places during the recent protests.

Already 30 companies of CRPF-RAF

Official sources said that these companies were sent to West Bengal a few months ago for the assembly elections. After the elections, on the request of the state government, he was asked to stay there.

There are about 100 soldiers in a CRPF company. In this way, in case of calling 20 companies, 2000 soldiers have been called to Delhi.

According to officials, in view of the protests by ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) and the monsoon session of Parliament starting from July 20, the Central Government has provided about 30 companies of CRPF and its special anti-riot unit ‘Rapid Action Force’ (RAF) to Delhi Police to strengthen the security arrangements.
