Where does Rs 20 lakh go?

Meenal, who has worked in big companies like KPMG and Deloitte, has explained the entire mathematics of a marriage worth Rs 20 lakh. According to him, the biggest part is Rs 6 lakh spent on food and drinks, while Rs 5 lakh is spent on hall booking. Apart from this, Rs 3 lakh is spent on decoration, Rs 2 lakh on photography and Rs 2 lakh on entertainment. Finally, Rs 2 lakh is kept for other expenses.

Celebrate, but Wisely

Meenal says that within just 48 hours all this money is lost, but the family has to bear this financial burden for years. Minal clarified that she is not at all against celebrating the wedding. He believes that marriage should be an occasion for happiness and not a reason for debt or stress.

CA gave this advice

He further said that if these Rs 20 lakh are invested in the down payment of a house, emergency fund or investment, then the life of the new couple can become financially very strong and peaceful.

Debate broke out on the internet

Netizens are divided into two groups on this advice of Meenal. One side believes that she is absolutely right. There is a lot of pressure on middle class families in the name of marriage and this should end. The other side says that marriage does not happen again and again in life, hence there is no harm in spending lavishly on this special day.
