The political situation in Delhi is likely to remain high on Monday. After the assembly elections in five states, the first meeting of the ‘India’ alliance will be held at the Constitution Club in Delhi on Monday afternoon. In this meeting, 23 opposition political parties will try to show unity against BJP. At the same time, after the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, TMC is on the verge of collapse. Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee and national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee india alliance Are in Delhi to attend the meeting. On one hand, TMC has expressed its commitment with the India alliance, while on the other hand, there is uneasiness in TMC regarding the sound of a break.
After the disintegration of the Trinamool Congress legislature party, it is now on the verge of disintegration in the parliamentary party. Mamata Banerjee has used all her strength to stop the rebellion in the party, while rebel MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar is also camping in Delhi. Sources say that along with him there are many more rebel MPs of Trinamool Congress, who are in the mood to rebel against Abhishek Banerjee and Mamata Banerjee. Like the legislature party, the rebel MPs of Trinamool Congress are planning to form a separate faction in the Lok Sabha also. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee is busy in damage control.
Sound of rebellion in TMC parliamentary party
The number of Trinamool Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha is 28. The rebel faction of TMC was claiming that they had the support of 18 MPs. According to the information received till night, the rebel camp of Trinamool has not been able to gather the support of enough MPs yet. On the other hand, Mamata camp believes that apart from Muslim MPs, about 13 Lok Sabha MPs are on their side.
Sources say that Mamata Banerjee has personally called many MPs. Meanwhile, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar reached Delhi on Sunday evening. Sukhendu Shekhar Roy has also reached Delhi. Many rebel MPs are already in Delhi. Earlier it was claimed that the rebel TMC MPs can stake claim to form a separate faction till they meet the Speaker on Monday.

But sources say that the rebel group will not make any move until it gathers the required numbers to evade the anti-defection law. In such a situation, the breakup of Trinamool on the day of India Block meeting is not certain yet. It will be interesting to see whether the rebel TMC MPs are able to give a surprise on Monday or not.
Clash before India alliance meeting
On the other hand, the opposition camp looks weak before the first meeting after the elections. Forget about showing full strength, an attempt is being seen before the meeting to hide the discord between the alliance which has become disliked in regional politics.
This alliance tussle within the opposition alliance is revolving around Congress. Before Stalin’s defeat in the Tamil Nadu elections, the Congress had left the DMK in that state. It has formed an alliance with TVK. Now, Congress is one of the partners in TVK’s ruling coalition in Tamil Nadu. DMK and Congress have broken relations since the elections. This time Stalin’s party also boycotted the meeting of the opposition alliance. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has not had any special relations with Congress recently. That is why he is not attending the ‘India’ meeting.
CPI(M) also angry with Congress’s attitude
At the same time, during the Kerala elections, Congress had raised the theory of ‘compromise’ between CPI(M) and BJP. He had accused PM Modi of having a secret alliance with former Kerala Chief Minister and Left leader Pinarayi Vijayan. CPI(M) is unhappy with Congress regarding this matter. Recently, CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby had written a letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in this regard.

He said that Congress should clear its position. It is true that they are sending representatives to Monday’s meeting, but it also shows their dissatisfaction with the behavior of the Congress. Earlier also, late former General Secretary Sitaram Yechury was seen on behalf of CPI(M) in such a meeting. However, this time CPI(M) General Secretary Baby is not attending the meeting.
CPI(M) is sending Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas to Monday’s meeting. Similarly, Manoj Bhattacharya, General Secretary of another left party RSP, is also not attending the ‘India’ meeting. He will be replaced by MP Ramachandran. At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Leaders of 23 parties including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Shiv Sena UBT’s Uddhav Thackeray will participate.
Mamata’s tone soft, with India alliance
However, after the defeat in the elections, the tone of Mamata Banerjee and Trinamool Congress has softened regarding Congress. After the election defeat, Mamata Banerjee had appealed to all political parties to form an alliance against BJP. He also appealed to the left and ultra-left parties. Both Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee are expected to be present in the Delhi meeting on Monday. Earlier on Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with Mamata and Abhishek Banerjee.
