Mahabubabad fish theft incident: In Mahabubabad district of Telangana, people who went for fishing in the pond on the occasion of Mrigashira Karte, got into trouble when a case was registered against them for looting fish in the pond. Police arrested 14 people and took them away, now legal action has been initiated against them. This matter has become a topic of discussion in the area. The police have also seized many bikes of people who had come to loot fish.

According to the information, this whole case of fish looting is from the outskirts of Kuravi Mandal of Mahabubabad district, where some fishermen were fishing very hard in a big pond. He believed that one day his hard work would bear fruit. He would be able to meet the needs of his family with the money he earned by selling fish, but his dream was shattered on the occasion of Mrigashira Karte.

Incident of looting fish from pond

When the Sun came out of ‘Rohini’ constellation and reached ‘Mrigashira’ constellation, people of nearby villages gathered at the pond. People living around the pond also started looting fish with nets, sarees and lungis. During this time, he collected as many fish as he could without worrying about anything. It is alleged that more than a thousand young and old people entered the pond without any discrimination and started looting the fish.

14 people arrested

The entire pond was filled with people, there was a fair like atmosphere at the spot. During this time, many people were seen running away with fishes, while many were celebrating. The victimized fishermen folded their hands and appealed not to loot the fish, but they (fish looters) were not ready to listen to anyone. He was looting fishes in such a manner as if a competition was going on. Angry fishermen immediately informed the police about the incident. Police immediately reached the spot, from where 14 people were arrested.

60 bikes were confiscated

Besides, 60 bikes have also been seized from the spot, which were brought to the police station with the help of a tractor. The fishermen are expressing their grief over this huge loss and demanding action. Police are warning that if such atrocities happen again, strict action will be taken. There is a lot of concern among fishermen due to the recent incidents in the pond.
