American President Donald Trump has once again surprised everyone. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei, whom he had vowed to eliminate, is now calling him a ‘brilliant and respected leader’. According to the report, in just 40 days of war, the American army became so bleeding that it had to vacate many of its military bases in West Asia.

Iran has caused huge damage to the US Army in this war. America’s weapons worth more than Rs 1 lakh crore have been destroyed so far in Iran’s retaliatory attacks.

Trump admitted- ‘Iran is not Venezuela’
The biggest reason for Trump’s changed attitude seems to be that he had to bow before Iran’s military power. Trump himself publicly admitted, Iran is not like Venezuela that you go and complete the operation in a few minutes and come back. Iran is very different from Venezuela. According to analysts, Trump is now trapped in this war and now wants to deal with Mujtaba to save his ‘remaining honour’. This is why he is desperate for a meeting and is constantly showing softness in his statements.
Trump praised Mujtaba
Recently in a press conference, Trump said that I would be very happy to meet him (Mujtaba). I would like to see if we can reach a compromise. If an agreement is reached, it is possible that I may meet him. I would have no objection to this. Trump further said that I will behave respectfully and his (Mujtaba’s) reputation is very good. However, when a journalist asked whether he would be willing to meet with you after the attacks on Mujtaba’s family, Trump said, “Maybe he is a professional.” That means Trump hopes that Mujtaba will understand the difference between war and peace.
What happens next in the Middle East?
It is clear that America is having to retreat in front of Iran’s strong military diplomacy. This ‘change of heart’ of Trump is actually a compulsion, now it remains to be seen whether Mujtaba Khamenei is ready for this meeting and whether it will prove to be the first step towards a ceasefire or another political ploy.
