
There is big news for those using iPhone and Android phones, now recently WhatsApp has updated its FAQ page about which operating systems WhatsApp support is going to stop soon. WABetaInfo, a site that monitors WhatsApp development, has first informed that support for iPhone models working on iOS 15.4 and older versions will be stopped.
Support is going to stop not only for old iPhone but also for old Android phones. According to the information on the company’s official FAQ page, only Android 6 and above versions will support WhatsApp, which means that WhatsApp will stop working in phones running on versions below this.
Support will stop from this date
According to the official FAQ page of WhatsApp, support on smartphones working on Android OS is going to end from September 8, 2026. On the other hand, support for iPhone models working on iOS version will stop from November 30, 2026. This means that after this date, if your phone is not working on the operating system mentioned above, then you will not be able to use WhatsApp.

What needs to be done to run WhatsApp?
If your phone also works on the old version, then now you will have to upgrade yourself to the new phone, if you do not do this then you will not be able to use the WhatsApp account. Before changing the phone, go to the phone’s settings and check whether there is any software update pending. If any software update is pending then first update the phone and then check on which OS your phone works.
