Hyderabad Lift Accident: A shocking incident has come to light in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, on Friday, a 57-year-old woman died after falling into the lift shaft at Bhavana Apartment in Anand Nagar Colony, Khairatabad. The victim was identified as Radha (58), a resident of Andhra Pradesh, who lived in the building with her daughter Tulsi and son-in-law Seshu.
According to the police, the woman pressed the button to use the lift with her 13-month-old grandson. The door opened before the lift reached the chamber floor. Thinking that the lift had arrived, she moved forward and fell into the open shaft. She suffered serious injuries and died on the spot, while the child suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the hospital.
Accident occurred due to open lift
On receiving information, Khairatabad police reached the spot, took out the body from the shaft and kept it in the mortuary. The child was admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment. A police officer said that the matter is being investigated. Strict action will be taken against those who are negligent.

He told that as soon as the woman moved forward to enter the lift, she fell straight down. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accident occurred due to negligence. The woman died after falling into an open shaft.

Police said that further action is being taken in the matter. The body of the deceased woman has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The deceased woman was accompanied by a minor who suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment where he is undergoing treatment.
