After the iPhone 17 series, now everyone is eagerly waiting for the iPhone 18 series. The company may change the launch strategy this year and iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max may be launched in September, while the standard variant iPhone 18 is said to be launched next year i.e. in 2027. Amid new leaks, Apple CEO Tim Cook told in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that the company is planning to increase the prices of products so that the rising cost of memory and storage chips can be compensated. To meet the increasing demand of AI, tough competition has started among consumer electronics companies due to limited supply of essential parts, due to which the prices are increasing rapidly.
Team Cook has talked about Apple’s price hike. Chip price is a big reason for this. TikTok has clearly said that we are trying to protect our customers from price hike, but the situation has gone out of control.
iPhone 18 Pro Price: Price may increase
Based on data from market research firm TechInsights, The Wall Street Journal estimates that DRAM costs for the base iPhone 18 Pro could rise from about $39 to $145. The cost of storage is also expected to increase significantly, which may increase from approximately $13 to $51. If we look at the manufacturing cost, the total production cost of this device may increase by about 25 percent compared to iPhone 17 Pro.
If this estimate proves correct, then the starting price of iPhone 18 Pro can be $ 1299 (approximately Rs 122608), the starting price of iPhone 17 Pro is $ 1099 (approximately Rs 103731). All these signs indicate that you may have to pay a higher price for the new series.
