Airtel had launched Priority Postpaid service for users some time ago, but now the company has changed the name of its service to Fast Lane. After its launch last month, this service of Airtel company had started a debate regarding net neutrality. The company has maintained 5G network slicing technology to provide better speed to postpaid users.
Airtel spokesperson said this
Airtel has removed the mention of Priority Postpaid from its website and mobile app and updated Fast Lane in its place. Airtel spokesperson told Moneycontrol that the plan has not been withdrawn. In fact, we have received a good response to the launch of our new plan with 5G slicing technology. According to the company, after the launch campaign is over, this change is limited to branding only.
A company spokesperson said that our launch campaign has ended and the name Fast Lane used to describe our service reflects the specialty of our offering. Our postpaid users are on Slice. Any user who chooses our postpaid plan and has a phone with 5G support, gets a great experience like fast speed, unlimited data and great service.
Airtel said that by using slicing technology, we are able to provide better speeds to our postpaid users. Slicing has no impact on the experience of prepaid users.
When and how did the uproar start?
