Why was ‘Takht’ movie closed?
Mahir Pandhi was going to be seen in the film ‘Takht’ and he had an important role. Recently, in a conversation with Mid-Day, Mahir Pandhi said, “Takht was not an ordinary film. This was Mr. Yash Johar’s last dream project and it had a deep connection with history. When you write a script based on history, you cannot change the facts. After the arrival of Covid, it became very difficult to bring so many actors together and match their dates.”

The budget of Takht was 200 crores?

“Used to invite me to parties”
Mahir Pandhi said, “I was almost living that dream. I was invited to parties and they made me feel included. I was made to feel like I was a part of that film. If I look back, only I know how difficult it was to accept the fact that Dharma’s film would not be made for me.”

In a recent conversation, Karan Johar himself confirmed that even though no other version or spin-off of ‘Takht’ is being made right now, the film has not been shelved forever. He said, “But ‘Takht’ is a film that I will definitely make, as long as I can breathe. And stand on my feet. I consider it to be one of the strongest screenplays ever written, which Sumit Roy has written, full credit goes to him. I believe that this is the best work of my career and I hope that I will definitely make this film one day.”
