Actually, it is expected from the daughter-in-law to keep the whole family together and strengthen the relationship with the mother-in-law.
Bollywood actress Sushmita Mukherjee recently said something amazing on this topic. She shared a video on social media site Instagram, where the actress talked openly about her daughter-in-law and her relationship. The actress also shared a cute incident.
Sushmita shared a beautiful story
While sharing the video, Sushmita said- ‘My elder son got married last year. I am a newly made mother in law. So this year when it was Mother’s Day, my daughter-in-law sent me a very beautiful bouquet. I am a little Desi and half English. When I received such flowers for the first time, I became very happy. We thought that both of us would go for dinner together, where it would be just the two of us, because my son was on a shoot in Darjeeling, so just the two of us went.

‘I want to become a mother in love’
Sushmita further said- ‘I have many friends who became mothers-in-law early because of marriage at a young age. In such a situation, he advised me that there would be some awkwardness with the daughter-in-law. We both got along well. I knew from the beginning that I did not want to be that normal typical mother-in-law. Be it controlling or being strong all the time. We are both sharing the same person, so why not make him warm and peaceful? We are two friends, I am the elder and she is the younger friend. We talked about this and that and then I said that I want to be a mother in love, not a mother in law. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and we hugged each other. I told him that those times are gone.
While sharing about her in-laws, the actress said – ‘My in-laws come from a conservative Rajput Thakur family, so I have done everything like veil etc. in my in-laws’ house. That was my in-laws, but I am your in-laws. We believe in freedom and respect. I don’t have any biological daughter of my own, so this was very important for me.
