
Steven Spielberg, one of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers and directors, is also a great cinephile. He likes watching new films and even today he tries to understand the vision of new directors. Recently, the filmmaker has praised two horror films which are making waves at the box office.
These films are ‘Obsession’ and ‘Backrooms’. Speaking to the media during an event, Spielberg said that he is very happy with the great earnings and huge success of these two films all over the world.

Steven Spielberg saluted the passion of the directors of these films. He said- ‘I am very happy for him. This is really a wonderful thing. He further told that very little money was used in making these films. The film ‘Obsession’ was made for less than 1 million dollars i.e. about Rs 8 crore, whereas the budget of ‘Backrooms’ was also only around 9 or 10 million dollars. Making such great films in such a low budget is really praiseworthy. Spielberg told that he has seen the film ‘Obsession’ and he liked it very much. Although he has not been able to watch ‘Backrooms’ yet, but he will watch it soon.

Amazing work of young directors
The success of both these horror films has proved that if the story has strength, then there is no need for expensive stars or big budget. Let us tell you that the director of the psychological thriller film ‘Obsession’ is only 26 year old Curry Barker. On the other hand, ‘Backrooms’ has been created by just 20 year old YouTuber and musician Ken Parsons. The whole of Hollywood is surprised to see the success of such young directors.
