Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai said that the alliance of Congress and Samajwadi is a natural alliance. He said that both the parties will fight the next assembly elections together to oust BJP from power in Uttar Pradesh. Rai said that the election results have increased the confidence of workers of both the parties. Let us tell you, in the meeting, an alliance has been agreed for the assembly elections to be held in 2027.
In the India Alliance meeting, leaders of both the parties had stressed on expressing trust in each other. In this meeting, Akhilesh Yadav said that Congress will have to show a big heart for our party colleagues, while Congress Party State President Ajay Rai retorted and said that Congress has always shown a big heart, he also said that big heart is not seen only on one side, on the other side also people should be shown big heart. Everyone needs to show a big heart, there is no one-sided love.
The alliance of Congress and SP is almost certain
Rahul and Akhilesh can come together once again for the UP Assembly elections 2027. The formula for ticket distribution between SP and Congress has been ready. According to sources, Congress may get 70-75 seats. Only candidates with winning and spotless image will get tickets. However, leaders of both the parties have different opinions regarding the alliance.
Why was the alliance broken earlier?
There have been ups and downs in the relations between the two parties before. There was tension over rhetoric in 2023, but later after talks between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, an agreement was reached for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Congress was emphasizing on winnable seats and wanted to get strong seats in terms of social equations. This issue was the biggest dispute in seat distribution which became the reason for division between SP and Congress.

Before giving tickets to the candidates, the party is conducting an internal survey and this entire survey is being monitored by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav himself. It is claimed that this time no kind of recommendation will be accepted in giving tickets, only survey and feedback will be given priority. The party will field only those candidates who have a strong support base among the public, have a spotless image and are winning candidates.
