
Kashi Vishwanath Sawan 2026: The holy month of Saavan is about to begin. According to Drik Panchang, this year Saavan will start from 30th July and will continue till the full moon of Saavan month on 28th August. This entire month has been dedicated to the devotion of Lord Shiva. In Sawan, the sight of Shiva temples across the country is worth seeing. During this period there is a huge crowd in Shiva temples. Devotees perform Jalabhishek of Mahadev. The view of Kashi Vishwanath Temple is also amazing in Sawan. Mahadev is in the room of Jyotirlinga in Kashi.
It is believed that the city of Kashi rests on the trident of Lord Shiva. In the month of Sawan, a huge crowd of devotees gather at Kashi Vishwannath temple to have darshan of Baba, in view of which preparations have been made in Kashi, the city of Shiva. Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees, extensive arrangements have been made by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple administration. This year, Mondays of Sawan will fall on 03rd, 10th, 17th and 27th of August. During this period, four different special decorations will be done on Baba Vishwanath.
4 special decorations of Baba Vishwanath will be done in Sawan
Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Administration has released the list of special adornments of Baba to be performed during Monday of Sawan. Every Monday Baba Vishwanath will be decorated in a special and divine form. On the first Monday of Sawan i.e. 3rd August, Baba Vishwanath’s Shankar Shringar Will be done. Baba on the second Monday of Sawan Gauri Shankar Will give darshan to the devotees in this form. Baba’s third Monday Ardhanarishwar makeup Will be done. On the fourth and last Monday of Sawan Rudraksh makeup will be done.
Importance of worshiping Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan
According to the beliefs of Sanatan Dharma, worshiping Lord Shiva during the entire month of Sawan brings special virtue. By worshiping and seeing Lord Shankar as per the rituals on Monday of Sawan, all the wishes are fulfilled quickly. Kavad Yatra is taken out in Sawan, in which Kavadiyas bring water from holy rivers and perform Jalabhishek of Mahadev and wish him happiness and prosperity.
