Dhanush reacted on winning 2 National Awards together. He said- ‘That year I received the National Award for the film Ryan. But there were really bigger films that year. Fans of those films showed their love for him. This is right and I also respect this. After this, the actor had requested everyone to celebrate the two National Awards given to him. Dhanush won the National Award for Best Regional Film for the film Rayan. The actor was honored with the National Award for Best Actor in the Special Mention category for the film Captain Miller.

Dhanush’s upcoming movies
While defending his National Award, Dhanush had also said that his films like Pudhupettai, 3, Mayakkam Enna, Vada Chennai, Karnan, Marian and Raanjhanaa were such which could have been awarded the National Award. According to the actor, these films were highly praised but none of his films could win the National Award. Talking about upcoming films, the actor will now be seen in films like Om Chapter 1, Kara and Thamiz Murugan.
