Mixed Disability Cricket Series: Jammu and Kashmir player becomes captain of Indian team, 7 T20 matches will be held in England

India Mixed Disability Cricket Series: Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) has announced the 16-member Indian team for the Mixed Disability Cricket Series to be held in England. Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Majid AH Magare has been chosen as the captain of the Indian team for this historic tour to be played from August 5 to August 19, 2026. Whereas Sai Akash Saivamani will take over the responsibility of vice-captain.

Seven match T20 series

A 7-match International T20 series will be played between India and England. All matches will start at 2:30 pm local time. The special thing is that the last match of this series will be played at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Complete schedule of the series

  • First and Second Matches: 5 and 7 August (Ourcoop County Ground, Derby)
  • Third match: 9 August (Uptonsteel Grace Road, Leicester)
  • Fourth match: 12 August (County Ground)
  • Fifth and sixth matches: 15 and 16 August (Arundel Cricket Club Ground)
  • Seventh match: 19 August (Historic Lord’s Cricket Ground)

DCCI Secretary Ravikant Chauhan expressed happiness over the appointment of Majid Magare and said that this is a proud moment not only for Jammu and Kashmir but for the entire disabled cricket community of the country. His captaincy will inspire many young athletes to move forward in sports. Meanwhile, Vice President Sumit Jain congratulated the entire team and support staff for a successful tour. Let us tell you, before leaving for England, the Indian team is sweating profusely in the camp organized in Chhawla, Dwarka, New Delhi.

16-member Indian squad: Majid AH Magare (captain), Sai Akash Saivamani (vice-captain), Jayesh Parmar, Tarun, Rizwan Altaf Bhat, Arjun Rajesh Gavre, Kuldeep Singh, Yashwant Naidu Ravuri, Vivek Kumar, Sudarshan Elangovan, Hilal Ahmed Wani, Ravindra Gopinath Sante, Yogendra Singh, Vrishant Sandeep Gunjal, Rajesh Irappa Kannur and Shiv Shankara Guntiganapali. Support Staff: Former Rajasthan Ranji captain Rohit Jhalani has been made the head coach of the Indian team. Along with him, Dev Dutt (coach), Rohit Sharma (fielding coach), Ramswaroop Saini (strength and conditioning coach) and Mayank Pushkar (physiotherapist) will take care of the fitness of the players.
