
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) had staged a protest at Jantar Mantar against the NEET paper leak. During the protest, there was a lot of ruckus on the day of the Parliament march and the police were accused of lathi charge and releasing tear gas. At the same time, the police allege that many policemen were also injured in the violence by the protesters and now that the demonstration has ended. The police has started investigating the backward records of the protesters.
Delhi Police According to FRS data, 2873 criminals were involved in the CJP demonstration. These are the criminals captured in the FRS cameras of Delhi Police, who have been involved in serious cases like robbery, murder, rape. Most of the miscreants were seen creating nuisance in North East Delhi (Jajarabad, Chand Bagh, Seelampur), South East (Jamia, Shaheen Bagh, Jamia, Okhla), Central Delhi.
989 protesters found involved in serious crimes
According to the police, out of 2873 such people, 989 people have old records of serious crimes. Of these, 101 people were involved in murder, 62 attempt to murder, 284 robbery/robbery, 61 rape, 06 crimes under POCSO Act, 25 molestation of women, 229 crimes under Arms Act, 135 snatching, 19 kidnapping and 67 narcotics/NDPS related crimes.
The existing criminal records also reveal that a large number of those identified are habitual offenders, who have been involved in several criminal cases. The details are as follows:

The data shows that many of those present in and around protest sites do not have criminal histories limited to isolated incidents; Rather, these also include people who commit habitual and repeated crimes.
Many of these people have previously been involved in serious and heinous crimes like murder, attempt to murder, dacoity/robbery, rape, crimes against women, violation of Arms Act, kidnapping, snatching and drug related crimes.
