
The investigation in the Ram Temple offering theft case is progressing steadily. Meanwhile, police interrogation of two accused was completed. At 8 am on Wednesday morning, accused Ramashankar Mishra and Subhash Srivastava were taken on remand by Ayodhya police and reached Faizabad police line, where their interrogation started. This police interrogation lasted for a long time. Ayodhya police took both the accused back to jail at 9 pm and released them. The police had prepared separate lists of questions for both Subhash Srivastava and Ramashankar Mishra, on the basis of which many questions were asked to them.
On the basis of interrogation of Ramashankar Mishra, he was taken to a rented house and the police recovered some documents from there. The police also took away the DVR of the CCTV installed at his house. Ramashankar’s father and brother have also been interrogated by the police. Apart from this, a friend of Ramashankar who does photography work was also interrogated by the police. After investigation, the police have sealed the room of Ramashankar Mishra.
Ramashankar Mishra revealed his secrets to the police
It is alleged that Ramashankar Mishra was also associated with Anukalp Mishra and they all used to commit theft together. According to sources, Ramashankar Mishra broke down during police interrogation and revealed all the secrets. He said that he ‘never thought that all this would be exposed’. Actually, Rs 7 lakh 32 thousand was recovered from Ramashankar Mishra. Apart from this, silver coins and jewelery were also recovered from him. During interrogation it was revealed that he had also invested money in the land.
No recovery from Subhash Srivastava
According to sources, no recovery has been made from the accused Subhash Srivastava till now. However, he too was interrogated for a long time on Wednesday. Police say that some facts are being verified. Just as the Ayodhya police took Ramashankar Mishra to his hideout, the police did not take Subhash Srivastava to any location. He was only interrogated.
What did Ramashankar Mishra and Subhash Srivastava do?
Subhash Srivastava, the accused in this donation theft case, is a retired bank employee, who supervised the cash counting work of the temple, while Ramashankar Mishra was responsible for taking the offerings to the counting room. About 5 years ago he was employed in Ram Mandir. Initially he used to earn by taking photographs of the devotees visiting the temple, but later he was given the responsibility of taking the offerings to the counting room.
