Rajesh Khanna Live in Partner Anita: As much as the love story of Bollywood’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia was discussed, their personal life was also in the headlines. Both of them got married in the year 1973. At that time Rajesh Khanna was 31 years old, while Dimple Kapadia was only 16 years old. After marriage, Dimple left acting despite giving a superhit debut film like ‘Bobby’. Both have two daughters Twinkle and Rinki Khanna. However, in the year 1982, Dimple Kapadia left Rajesh Khanna’s house and started living separately. Both could never get an official divorce. But they remained separate till the death of Rajesh Khanna. Before his death, Rajesh Khanna was living with his live-in partner Anita Advani, who had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to get her relationship recognized. Recently Anita Advani has made a big revelation about the relationship between Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna.
Rajesh Khanna’s live-in partner Anita Advani, during a recent interview, spoke openly about her case and her relationship with Rajesh Khanna. He claimed that Rajesh Khanna had asked for divorce from Dimple Kapadia several times, but he never got the divorce. Besides, the actress had also put a condition for giving divorce.
What did Anita Advani say?
Anita Advani said, “My case was tried under the Hindu Marriage Law, although it had nothing to do with my case. From there it was sent to the civil court, because civil laws are different. I had sought recognition of ‘relationship in the nature of marriage’, but was told that I am not a wife. Whereas this law includes not only live-in partners but also relationships like sister and mother.”
Anita Advani’s big claim
He further said, “Some people say that if someone has a wife then he cannot have a relationship with someone else. But if the wife has left the house years ago and there is no relationship left between the two, then what is his fault if another person comes into someone’s life? That person does not live anywhere. Neither were they living together nor was the divorce happening. They asked for divorce several times, but it was not given. The demand was that if you want to divorce, then put everything in our name.”
“Make everything in my name”
Anita Advani said, “He had also said in the interview that I want to divorce. I said this many times, but the divorce was not given. He asked for divorce 10 times, but did not get it. The condition was that if you want to divorce, then put everything in our name. He had a wife, so it was said that his relationship with me cannot be recognized. In the end, he was left all alone. He was not an easy person, but if someone was supporting him, then why is there a law to protect such relationships? This is the biggest confusion.”
Let us tell you that Rajesh Khanna died in the year 2012. At the same time, Anita Advani’s petition was rejected by the Bombay High Court in April 2026.
