Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today handed over appointment letters to 355 youth. With this, the total number of government jobs given since the formation of his government has increased to 67,037. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that for the first time, government jobs are being given only on the basis of merit, transparency and fair competition, without any recommendation, political influence or corruption.

He promised to reverse the trend of migration of skilled youth, open the way for regular jobs for 65,000 contract employees, open 25 new ITIs. And 13 existing I.T.I. Pointing towards huge investment in skill development through upgradation of institutions, he said that the AAP government is committed to giving confidence, appropriate opportunities and all possible assistance to the youth of Punjab to build their future by staying in the country.

Congratulations to newly appointed candidates

Congratulating the newly appointed candidates and their families, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the only criteria for selection of candidates in our government is hard work, dedication and merit. Gone are the days when government jobs were distributed on the basis of bribes, recommendations or political connections.

Today, qualified candidates are being given jobs through a fair and transparent process. These youth have worked hard day and night to achieve success and this is just the beginning of their journey. The sky is open for them to fly for progress and I advise all the candidates to keep striving to achieve greater heights.

Targeted on paper leak also

CM Mann said that since 2017 till now, about 93 exam paper leak reports have been received across the country. Such incidents related to major examinations including NEET have disappointed lakhs of youth. However, after our government assumes power in 2022, not a single incident of paper leak has come to light in Punjab. The reason for this is that an honest government is working in the state. Promising students are getting jobs and opportunities on the basis of their talent and hard work.

The Chief Minister said that so far 67,037 government jobs have been provided by the Punjab Government on the basis of merit and every appointment has been made free from corruption, nepotism or favoritism.
