Preparation to earn Rs 100 crore before the release of ‘Ramayana’, eyes fixed on this deal

‘Ramayana’, which is included in the most awaited films of Indian cinema, is continuously moving towards creating new records even before its release. Sometimes its budget of thousands of crores is discussed, and sometimes OTT and distribution rights are discussed. Now the film is in the headlines for another big reason. It is reported that producer Namit Malhotra is preparing to sell the music rights of the film for around Rs 100 crore. If this deal is finalized then it will be one of the biggest music deals of Indian cinema. This is the reason why there is a competition among many big music companies of the country to acquire this project.

Being made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari ‘Ramayana’ Ranbir Kapoor in Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi Mother Sita and Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana. There has been a lot of excitement about the music of the film since the beginning, because veteran musicians like AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are working together in it. According to the report, the music of the film is considered to be so amazing that the producers want a deal of around Rs 100 crore for its music rights.

Why is there a competition for music rights?

It is being told that many big music companies are involved in this race and an agreement may be reached with one of them soon. According to the report, ‘Ramayana’ is being prepared not just as a film but as a big cinematic franchise. In such a situation, long-term earnings are expected from its songs, background score and digital music streaming. This is the reason why music companies are ready to invest huge amount on this project.

‘Ramayana’ has been in discussion before also

This is not the first time that ‘Ramayana’ has come into discussion regarding a big deal. Before this, many big reports have also come out regarding the budget, distribution and OTT rights of the film. Namit Malhotra has already expressed his plans to present this project globally. ‘Ramayana’ will be released in two parts. Artists like Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey will be seen in the first part. Preparations are being made to make the film one of the biggest visual experiences of Indian cinema and huge expenditure is also being made on its promotion.
