OMG! Zomato breaks silence on fake notification of Rs 370 biryani, calls viral screenshot fake

These days, the Rs 370 biryani controversy is much discussed on social media. Amidst this debate, people are sharing different things. Meanwhile, a screenshot regarding Zomato is also going viral. On which Zomato has also issued a clarification from its side and has completely distanced itself from a screenshot going viral. The company has made an official post on LinkedIn. share It was clarified that the screenshot of the notification going viral on social media is fake and has no connection with Zomato.

The company shared a black graphic with its post, on which it was written that biryani is just dinner, not consent. Zomato said in its statement that the alleged notification which people are sharing as being from the company, has neither been created by the company nor has it ever been sent from its platform. The company clearly said that this screenshot is completely false and misleading.

Why did this post go viral?

Actually, an alleged Zomato notification had gone viral on social media, in which it was written that should I send biryani? It is only Rs 370. This message came out at a time when there was already a heated debate going on on the internet regarding the biryani priced at Rs 370. Many people considered it to be a real notification and started sharing it everywhere.

As the controversy escalated, the Rs 370 biryani became a topic of discussion on social media. Memes, funny posts, funny videos and many fake screenshots related to brands also started appearing. One of these screenshots also went viral in the name of Zomato, which the company has now termed as fake. The company says that it neither prepared any such message nor sent it to any of its customers. The purpose of this clarification by Zomato is to remove the misunderstanding spread among the people.
