Fadnavis government of Maharashtra has taken a big decision for the Maratha community. Now like OBC community, Maratha community will also get facilities. This includes educational concessions and facilities. The government has decided to start 8 schemes for the Maratha community on the lines of facilities provided to the OBC community. Let us know about these facilities provided to the Maratha community.
- Post Secondary Education Scholarship Scheme
- Motor Vehicle Driver and Operator Training Scheme
- Scholarship scheme applicable for students of secondary and higher secondary classes
- Scheme related to reimbursement of 16 other items applicable for students
- Scheme applicable for residents of Maharashtra and candidates taking admission in subsidized and non-subsidized professional courses in other states.
- Now students of Maratha community will also be eligible in all the courses which are eligible for OBC students to get educational concessions and facilities.
- Like OBC students, educational concessions will also be extended to students of Maratha community taking admission at institutional level in institutions recognized by the Admission Regulatory Committee against the seats left vacant after completion of Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
The government says that all the educational concessions and facilities which are applicable for Other Backward Classes (OBC) or will be implemented in future, will also be applicable to Maratha community till further orders.
CM worked to provide justice to Maratha community: Girish Mahajan
On this decision of the state government, Minister Girish Mahajan said, CM Devendra Fadnavis was deliberately defamed by calling him anti-Maratha. During the time of Uddhav Thackeray, no one paid attention to this issue. But now Devendra Fadnavis has worked to provide justice to the Maratha community. I heartily congratulate him. By providing justice to the Maratha community, he has made his stand towards the community clear.
