Not a single paper leaked in Punjab in four and a half years…Bhagwant Mann’s counterattack on the opposition

July 28, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched a scathing attack on BJP, Congress and Akali Dal for spreading the lie of paper leak. Bhagwant Singh Mann, who reached the Parliament on Tuesday to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, SP President Akhilesh Yadav and other MPs, said that I have given government jobs to 69 thousand youth of Punjab only on merit, without any demand, no paper leak and no cash. BJP is making false allegations to defame the hard work of Punjabis. The politics of defaming Punjabis to gain political ground will prove costly for BJP. BJP should fight political battle with me. Stop defaming the dedication and hard work of the youth of Punjab.

Talking to the media after meeting Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, SP President Akhilesh Yadav and MPs in Parliament on Tuesday. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Said that the beauty of democracy is that people keep meeting each other. Ideological differences continue in politics and they can also happen, but there should not be differences of opinion among themselves. During this, on the false allegations of paper leak in Punjab, he clearly said that it has been four and a half years since our government was formed in Punjab, but not a single paper has been leaked there.

Cheating in a pharmacy exam-CM

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that recently we had come across a case of cheating in a pharmacy exam in Punjab. The exam started at 11 am and by 11:15 we came to know that a student was scanning with a Bluetooth pen and asking the answers from outside through headphones. The police took immediate action in this matter and caught the entire gang of 11 people sitting outside along with 10 students and sent them to jail. In Punjab, work is done on the principle of no cash, no demand and only on merit.

On the question of the opposition demanding the resignation of the state education minister, CM Bhagwant Mann said that first of all, the pharmacy exam does not come under the education department but under the health department. Already the Health Minister himself has made it clear that no paper was leaked there, only cheating was being attempted, which was immediately stopped and the exam was completed successfully. No incident like paper leak can happen in Punjab.

There is no merit in Akali’s claim – Mann

On the false claims of Akali Dal, Bhagwant Mann said that Akali Dal no longer has any claim in Punjab. There are so many of them. Also, the BJP, which is protesting outside the Parliament, should first take over Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Without taking even a single rupee, I am standing in front by giving jobs to 68,855 youth only on the basis of merit. Cheating and corruption are now things of the past in Punjab. BJP, Congress and Akali Dal should first take care of themselves, they should not worry about the broom.
