Union Minister Kishan Reddy surrounded Priyanka’s statement in Parliament, reminded the history of Congress

Union Minister Mr. Kishan Reddy has hit back at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s statement in Parliament, in which she asked why pellet guns were used on the students and were they terrorists? Kishan Reddy said that Priyanka Gandhi raised questions on the police action against students in Delhi and asked whether they are terrorists, but before raising such questions, can the Congress party answer about its own history? Making a strong attack on Priyanka, he said that during the first phase of Telangana movement (1969), 369 students fighting for separate Telangana were killed in police firing. Did the Congress government consider those students as terrorists?

He said that during the second phase of the movement for Telangana statehood, about 1,200 students and youth lost their lives due to the deceit, delay and betrayal of the Congress party. Students like Yadi Reddy, who gave his life in front of the Parliament in Delhi and many others made the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of separate Telangana. Did Congress not see his pain? Did he also consider them terrorists?

Union Minister targeted Priyanka

The Union Minister said, ‘During the Emergency, the Congress government itself jailed and tortured thousands of students who raised their voice to protect democracy. Every voice of dissent was brutally suppressed. Has Priyanka Gandhi never read about those dark chapters of history? Did he never ask his grandmother about him or has Congress forgotten his past as per its convenience? Were all those students fighting for democracy also considered terrorists in the eyes of Congress?

Priyanka reminded of Congress history

Kishan Reddy further said, ‘Congress remembers history only when it is out of power. Whenever it has been in power, it has a history of police firing on students, lathi charge, arrests, emergency and brutally suppressing democratic voices. It would be better for Priyanka Gandhi to know the facts before making such statements. The blood-soaked history of the Congress Party is etched in the memories of the people. No political rhetoric or lies can erase his deeds from the pages of history.
