According to Drik Panchang, this year the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Ashadha month is starting on 26th July at 01:57 pm, which will end on 27th July at 04:14 pm. In such a situation, the fast of Jaya Parvati will start from Monday 27th July 2026. Jaya Parvati Vrat will end on Saturday, August 1.

Jaya Parvati fast puja auspicious time (Jaya Parvati Vrat 2026 Puja Subh Muhurat)

According to the Drik Panchang, the auspicious time of Pradosh Kaal for the worship of Jaya Parvati will start on August 27 at 07:15 pm, which will last till 09:20 pm.

Worship method of Jaya Parvati fast (Jaya Parvati Fast Puja Method)

  • On the day of Jaya Parvati fast, women should take bath early in the morning and wear clean clothes.
  • After this, resolve to fast by taking water in your hand.
  • Then spread a red cloth on a stool and place the idol of Goddess Parvati on it.
  • After this, make Goddess Parvati wear red colored chunari and offer suhaag material.
  • Then light a ghee lamp. On this day, offer kheer to Goddess Parvati.
  • Read Jaya Parvati Vrat Katha and perform Aarti at the end.

Importance of Jaya Parvati Vrat (Jaya Parvati Vrat Significance)

It is said that the fast of Jaya Parvati is very difficult. This fast starts from Ashadh Shukla Trayodashi and continues till Tritiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Sawan month. According to the legend, Goddess Parvati had observed this fast to get Lord Shiva as her husband. Due to the effect of this fast, there remains happiness in the lives of married women. They are blessed with unbroken good fortune.

Unmarried girls get eligible grooms. According to astrology, by observing Jaya Parvati fast, the planetary defects present in the horoscope are eliminated. It is said that women should observe this fast for about 5, 7, 9, 11 or even 20 years.
