
A person died after being shot in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Whose name is being told as Arif Hussain. According to officials, this incident happened when the deceased was trying to snatch a rifle from the Special Operation Group (SOG). During this period, three policemen were also injured, one of whom suffered serious injuries. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
According to the information, this incident took place in Bhaderwah of Doda district. After receiving information about suspicious activities in the high altitude area, a team of SOG was keeping surveillance in the area. On Friday, SOG team stopped two people on Jai-Gandoh road, about 35 km from Bhaderwah town. After which he attacked the team.
The young man tried to snatch the rifle
According to police officials, the SOG team stopped two youths at around 11.30 pm. Meanwhile, the youth allegedly attacked the policemen and tried to snatch the service rifle. There was a scuffle between the SOG team and the youth. The officer said that during the scuffle, a SOG soldier opened fire, which hit the youth, while three policemen were injured in the incident. The policeman also suffered serious head injuries. The other youth is still absconding.
Youth dies during shame
After this, all the injured were taken to the sub-district hospital of Bhaderwah, from where they were referred to Doda Government Medical College for better treatment. The young man died during treatment. The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Arif Hussain, a resident of Cheeka village. The place where this incident took place is about 25 kilometers away from the deceased’s house. Police said that there is no terrorist angle in this incident. Initial investigation reveals that the deceased was involved in cattle smuggling.
