In West Bengal, CM Shubhendu Adhikari made the workers of the newly formed BJP government feel their responsibility. He has said that he wants BJP officials to believe in the principle of ‘not me, we’. While addressing the meeting of BJP’s special training camp, he said that now the party is not in the role of opposition, hence its working approach and decisions are completely different. Shubhendu said that we will have to work together to take forward the “political thinking and ideology” of the party and live up to the expectations of the people.
He said that he wants all BJP workers in the state to promote the policy of collective leadership, which means ‘not me, we’ and ‘taking everyone along’. The CM claimed that a section of government officials have negative thinking in implementing the policies and programs of the BJP government in the state. The Chief Minister said, “There is a need to convey the policies of the government to the lower level officials and those who have negative thinking need to be corrected.”

‘Responsibility on my shoulders’
CM Shubhendu said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had led the BJP’s campaign in the last West Bengal assembly elections. He had told about the condition of the people during the TMC rule and the changes that would take place when the BJP government came to power in the state. He said, “As the Chief Minister, the responsibility of living up to these expectations lies largely on my shoulders, which I am trying to fulfill and will continue to do in the future also.” He said that the political outlook of Bengal is a little different from other states. He told that this is a politically active state where programs are organized throughout the year and BJP officials will have to work accordingly.
He said that BJP government has come after 34 years of Left rule and 15 years of TMC rule. In such a situation, the BJP organization and public representatives will have to work together to take forward the “political thinking and ideology” of the party, fulfill the guarantees of the Prime Minister and live up to the expectations of the people.
