Instead of taking NCP (Sharad Pawar) into NDA separately, emphasis has been laid on merger. BJP has made this clear amidst the soft stance of NCP (SP) on the delimitation bill and the possibility of its support.
Sources say that if both the factions of NCP merge, then one ministerial post from both the factions can be given later. Sharad Pawar faction has eight MPs in the Lok Sabha and one in the Rajya Sabha. The support of these 9 MPs is very important for passing the Delimitation Bill. However, Sunetra Pawar is said to be uncomfortable with the speculations of Sharad faction’s support to NDA.

These speculations have gained momentum after Sharad Pawar’s recent meeting with Eknath Shinde. On the other hand, there are signs of a big change in the politics of the state.
